Job Overview

To provide high quality, responsive and co-ordinated administrative support to the Leicestershire Recovery College. Working collaboratively with various teams, partner organisations and external agencies to ensure that accurate records are maintained, and services are provided based on need.

* To provide effective administrative support to the Leicestershire Recovery College that ensures all enrolments are managed within an effective timescale.
* To provide a friendly and efficient Reception Service and ensuring essential resources and equipment are maintained.
* To accurately use and maintain information systems within specified timescales.
* To provide high quality customer care and to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skills and have the ability to meet the needs of clients with barriers to understanding and access to mental health services, either via telephone, electronic forms of communication or face to face.
* To develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
* To provide and demonstrate high quality customer care to anyone accessing the service.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)

1. To demonstrate the Trust’s values in everything you do in the work environment and live up the LPT Pledge.
2. To be responsible in the use and expenditure of the Trust’s resources that you utilise. (2.1) To maintain appropriate levels of stock and/or equipment in line with the needs of the service.
3. Delivery of effective healthcare within the organisation. (3.1) To provide high quality customer care. (3.2) All service user/staff records must be kept up to date and maintained in line with policy and procedure. (3.3.) Where appropriate, to operate office and/or clinical equipment in line with standard operating procedures and risk assessments to ensure their safe and effective use. (3.4) To competently utilise information systems and/or records to access and update information as required, in accordance with the Data Protection Act and local standard operating procedures. (3.5) To maintain high professional standards in line with service expectations/best practice. (3.6.) To take personal responsibility for delivering a high quality service. (3.7) To continually strive to improve the service you offer. (3.8) Demonstrate duties to new members of staff. (3.9) To follow standard administrative procedures to complete allocated tasks. (3.10) To undertake general office duties such as assisting visitors, answering the telephone, filing, scanning, photocopying, taking notes of meetings and other similar duties as required. (3.11) To provide cover for absent colleagues, in accordance with the needs of the service. (3.12) To provide a friendly and efficient Reception Service.
4. Establishing effective leadership and communication. (4.1) To work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to ensure effective team working.
5. Continuing education, professional and personal development. (5.1) Undertake the Trust’s corporate and local induction, and maintain your learning and compliance with training requirements for your role. (5.2) Participate in supervision via agreed review and appraisal mechanisms.
6. Clinical governance, reduction of risk, audit and research. (6.1) To work within the remit of your role, escalating concerns and seeking support and guidance from senior staff when required.
7. Management and use of resources and information (7.1) All records that the role is responsible for or modifies must be kept up to date and maintained in an accurate and diligent manner. (7.2) To competently utilise information systems and/or records to access and update information as required, in accordance with the Data Protection Act and local standard operating procedures.
8. Operating with quality in everything you do and maintaining a safe environment (8.1) To take responsibility for maintaining own and others health and safety and security.
