Salary: £55,000 – £65,000
Location: Wrexham (office-based with site visits as required)

Overview
Our client is a leading specialist in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-performance building envelope systems. They are seeking an experienced Roofing & Cladding Design Manager to lead the design function across multiple façade and roofing projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the roofing and cladding design team across multiple projects
* Oversee the full design lifecycle from concept through to construction and handover
* Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and main contractors
* Ensure all designs meet relevant UK regulations, standards, and project specifications
* Review and approve drawings, calculations, and technical submissions
* Manage design programmes in line with project timelines
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers
* Attend design meetings and represent the design function with clients and stakeholders
* Identify and resolve design-related issues proactively
* Drive innovation and best practice in façade and roofing systems
Requirements
* Proven experience in roofing and cladding design within the construction or façade industry
* Strong technical knowledge of building envelope systems, including rainscreen cladding, metal roofing, and waterproofing systems
* Experience managing design teams and leading projects
* Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
* Strong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Desirable
* Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline (e.g., Architectural Technology, Engineering, Construction)
* Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
* Knowledge of BIM processes and coordination
