Mech Tech Professionals are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Planner to join our client’s team on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project – one of the largest and most significant infrastructure projects in Europe. In this critical role, The Site Planner will be responsible for the development, monitoring, and updating of Level 4 site programmes in accordance with the HPC project controls process. The Site Planner will provide accurate and detailed site-level scheduling data to the Level 3 Project Control Team, supporting delivery performance across multiple work scopes. Permanent Opportunity Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset (Full time on site) Shift Pattern/Working Hours: 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Industry: Engineering & Construction | Nuclear Sector Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain and report against Level 4 programmes, including detailed 4 and 16-week lookaheads. * Monitor site performance against the programme and incorporate emerging work or changes into schedules. * Identify and communicate deviations from the critical path, ensuring timely corrective action. * Provide regular progress reports and detailed updates to the Level 3 planner and wider Project Control Team. * Ensure alignment with HPC’s Project Control procedures and governance requirements. * Analyse Earned Value (EV) performance and support project performance metrics. * Forecast and report physical quantities for site delivery (e.g., welds, meterage). * Identify and communicate resource requirements in line with project timelines. Qualifications and Experience * Experience in a planning role within a large-scale infrastructure or nuclear environment is highly desirable. * Ability to produce a feasible programme of activities from a given scope of work * Fluency in Primavera P6 and excel to provide prompt and accurate information * In-depth knowledge of planning systems and earned value methodologies. * Demonstrated capability in developing, maintaining, and reporting against complex multi-disciplinary schedules. CCNSG (Site Safety Passport) or CSCS MAPS required for site access Eligibility to pass SC Clearance (required)
