Summary
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our growing Corporate IT Team.
This is an exciting role and includes a wide set of responsibilities, with the day to day focus on the ongoing improvement and maintenance of systems and services within the Organization. This role will report into the Corp-IT System Engineers Manager.
The candidate will have experience of working in a Service Desk Environment and the ability to work to troubleshoot/juggle several issues/tickets at one time systems while under pressure. The right candidate should have a team mindset, a keen attention to detail and is essential. The right candidate will require some experience and knowledge of desktop and server operating systems, hardware fault finding, networking, security and desktop applications used in the organization.
Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and also assume responsibility for their work. The successful candidate will need to be organized, comfortable in working in a dynamic, fast paced environments. They should have a good understanding of deadlines and accountability and able to provide updates on their projects without being asked to. The role has the potential to include overnight and weekend on-call for key production server/system issues.
Key responsibilities:
1. Installation, configuration and management of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
2. Administer the Active Directory including Users & Accounts, Group Policies, Directory Schema, Sites & Services, Domains & Trusts and Scripts.
3. Email Administration using web based tools.
4. Maintain existing and new device/client management systems.
5. Help Manage and monitor the existing Corporate IT systems and infrastructure.
6. Incident/Ticket Management within the Corporate IT Service Desk Queue.
7. Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
8. Receive training & transfer of ownership from other teams to implement and support new products/technologies.
9. Help and support other teams and be an influencer in providing permanent solutions, to avoid problems from re-occurring.
10. Plan and implement system automation as required for better efficiency.
11. Collaboration with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
12. Implements warranty and support activities.
13. Advocate and maintain the organizations strict approach to data security
14. Follower and advocate of the organization principles.
15. Understanding design and maintain the existing Corp-IT Infrastructure.
16. Receive training & handovers from other team to support new products/technologies
17. Provide support to the GDS team and be an influencer in providing permanent solutions to avoid problems from re-occurring
18. Administration and management of the Corp VDI environment
19. Follow ITIL, including Incident and Change Management process and procedures.
20. Identify areas where the Corp-IT function can be more efficient.
21. Keep up to date with best practices and technologies and implement them in the work place.
22. Build network/relationships within the organization to be able to help the function and yourself to be more efficient.
23. Mentor and train other members of the team & function.

41. Experience with automation frameworks (SCCM, Ansible, Nornir, Terraform)
42. GIT Management.
43. Cisco SD-WAN or Cisco Meraki knowledge.
44. Cisco CCNP or CCEI EI certification
45. Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
46. Big IP (Advance Course)
47. Administration experience with Linux based platforms.
