Job Title: Local Fundraising Development Lead
Location: London/Hybrid
Salary: £56,514.50 per annum
Weekly Hours: 35
Reference: YMC1152467
Are you an experienced fundraiser who thrives on collaboration, insight, and making a lasting difference? YMCA England & Wales is looking for a strategic and relationship-focused fundraising leader to help shape the future of local fundraising across our federation.
This is an exciting opportunity to co-create something transformative - a national strategy that empowers 83 independent YMCAs across England and Wales to strengthen, sustain, and grow their own fundraising. You'll lead an open and consultative process to design a practical, scalable model of support, ensuring every YMCA - no matter their size or setting - has access to the tools, training, and shared infrastructure they need to thrive.
At YMCA, we believe in collective strength. Working closely with local YMCAs, you'll conduct a federation-wide consultation to understand what's working well, identify opportunities, and co-design solutions that meet real needs. From shared donation platforms and supporter journeys to training programmes and fundraising products, you'll bring insight and creativity to developing initiatives that are both strategic and deeply practical.
You'll also scope the creation of a Fundraising Centre of Excellence - a central hub for best practice, learning, and innovation - and design the blueprint for a YMCA Fundraising Academy that builds confidence and capability across the federation.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your approach. You'll work in partnership with fundraising and communications colleagues, local YMCA leaders, and sector peers to develop resources that elevate community fundraising, civic engagement, and corporate partnerships. Together, you'll explore new ways of working that honour local identity while harnessing national strength.
We're looking for someone who combines strategic acumen with empathy, who listens deeply and leads collaboratively, and who brings both vision and delivery. You'll be as comfortable facilitating workshops and building relationships as you are developing frameworks, analysing data, and presenting recommendations at a national level.
If you're inspired by the idea of empowering others to succeed - and want to play a central role in shaping a movement-wide approach to fundraising that changes lives - we'd love to hear from you.
