We’re growing. Fast. The Co-Founder & CEO is spending more time in sales, marketing, and building the next phase of the business. We’ve got a Co-Founder & CTO focussed on delivering for our customers, a brilliant client-facing Security Lead, an awesome pentester and some fractional support. Now we need a right-hand person to make everything tick.
This role is the glue - keeping operations sharp, projects moving, and customers happy.
The Role: Operations Lead
We’re looking for someone who can keep the wheels turning - and the engine humming. You’ll lead the operational and organisational heartbeat of ISO Serious, owning the systems, admin, and processes that keep us lean and effective. You’ll work across customer delivery, internal ops, admin, and (light-touch) finance and HR. Think: “how do I make everything smoother, better, faster?”
Your mission (if you choose to accept it):
1. Customer & Delivery Ops
* Set up and manage project workspaces (we use Basecamp and Notion)
* Make sure every customer journey is smooth and consistent
* Write and maintain email templates, task lists, checklists, and internal SOPs
* Be the go-to for “Have we sent that yet?” or “Is that document ready?”
2. Internal Operations
* Keep our systems and processes up to date (CRM, PM tools, internal wikis)
* Keep tabs on what’s working, what’s not, and fix it
* Own the day-to-day admin that makes us look and feel like a premium service
3. Finance, Admin & HR Support
* Support with onboarding new team members, freelancers, and contractors
* Help us stay on top of invoicing, payroll prep, expenses, and compliance
* Maintain up-to-date records and templates for everything from contracts to insurance
4. Co-Founder Support
* Take tasks off the co-founders’ plate (email follow-ups, scheduling, docs)
* Prepare materials or summaries for team meetings and customer calls
* Be proactive: suggest better ways to do things, and then do them and make sure we do them!
️ About You
This role is part-ops, part-project manager, part-organised-genius. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to hold a lot of context, and love turning chaos into clarity.
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Highly organised and detail-obsessed
* Confident using tools like Notion, Airtable, Basecamp, or similar
* Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deadlines without getting flustered
* A brilliant written communicator (you’ll write templates, emails, docs)
* Calm, resourceful, and happy taking initiative
* Up for rolling up your sleeves - we’re still a small team
* Wants to grow with the role: we want this role to grow and evolve with the business, hopefully one day into a fully-fledged COO role!
Bonus points if you:
* Have experience in B2B SaaS, consultancy, compliance, or startup ops
* Have helped a small team get more organised and scalable
* Are the kind of person who builds systems for fun
