Hours: Hours to be negotiated, term time only plus inset days (39 working weeks)
Salary: actual £14,148 - £14,565 per annum (Full Time Equivalent £24,595 - £25,320) depending on experience

Avonbourne Boys’ achieved an OUTSTANDING OFSTED rating in our inspection in November 2023 and Avonbourne Girls’ was graded OUTSTANDING in all categories in our October 2024 inspection!
About the role
We are seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic Art and Technology Technician to support our Art and Technology Department.
The role will involve preparing practical sessions and supporting the Art and Technology Department to deliver the highest quality lessons for our students. The post would suit someone who wants to work with a dynamic team of teachers to support the delivery of an excellent Art and Design provision and who has a desire to work with young people.
The responsibilities will involve assisting the Art and Technology Teachers with the day-to-day running of the food preparation room and supporting the provision of technical support to the Art and Technology Department. A good standard of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills will be required.

·have good art and design technology knowledge and a keen interest in working in a busy school environment
·have a flexible approach and be willing to actively seek to develop own learning to enhance the service delivered
·have an ability to prioritise your own work as well as the ability to work well collaboratively as part of a team
·be resilient with the ability to multi-task
The right candidate may be less experienced in some of these areas, but they would be keen to learn and develop which would be shown in their enthusiasm, ability to seek advice, think on their feet, problem solve and progress.
