Overview
Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent projects for various Rolls Royce sites. The role ensures projects are delivered to meet Integral & Rolls Royce standards for health, safety, quality, cost and programme, while complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation. This includes compliance with MS18 and CSO6 Rolls Royce standards. You must be qualified in a related trade (mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, building fabric, roofing, etc.).
Responsibilities
* Manage and execute projects with values between £50k and £15m across Rolls Royce sites in Bristol, ensuring delivery in line with contract requirements.
* Manage projects in accordance with the NEC3 Framework Contract and ensure delivery to the agreed contract programme.
* Provide health and safety leadership to site delivery teams (including sub-contractors and suppliers), promote behavioural safety improvements, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards.
* Support the project risk management process and establish effective controls to ensure safe and timely delivery.
* Lead the production and risk management of quotations and estimates.
* Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company's reputation at project level.
* Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to direct reports and trainees.
* Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs.
* Support project opportunities to realise, maintain and improve commercial project performance.
* Liaise with Rolls Royce Project Managers to ensure compliance with MS18, CS06, and current delivery programme and cost plan.
* Ensure highest standards of quality in accordance with programme delivery and relevant British Standards, codes of practice and Rolls Royce Standards, and ensure projects are completed snag and defect free.
* Ensure post-completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information are delivered within contracted timescales.
Qualifications
* Proven and demonstrable experience in the role of a Project Manager within the building/construction/building services industries (essential).
* Experience of working in occupied buildings/campuses (essential).
* Experience with NEC3 Contracts (essential).
* Experience managing health and safety procedures along with knowledge of H&S standards/regulations across multiple sites (essential).
* Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates (essential).
* Ability to understand customers’ business requirements (essential).
* City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) construction-related qualification (essential).
* SMSTS, JIB/BESA, CSCS Card, First Aid (essential).
* Competent user of IT software including MS Office and Fieldview or similar tablet-based quality assurance software (essential).
* Excellent interpersonal skills with clear and confident written and verbal communication (essential).
* High level organizational ability and time management to drive and meet deadlines (essential).
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach and problem-solving ability (essential).
