Purpose of the Position:
The primary objective is to ensure that production of food products is made to the agreed quality and specification, complying with business standards. Key responsibilities include assisting the senior management team in the smooth running of daily production operations, supporting the team, driving efficiencies, and maintaining food safety, quality, legality, and H&S standards at all times.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
1. Achieving the daily/weekly food production plan - ensure it is completed in full and in a timely manner.
2. Following production recipes, systems, and procedures to maintain product quality, food safety, and legality.
3. Completing equipment checks and ensuring proper cleaning during and after production, adhering to correct care and safe use of all equipment.
4. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, following the “clean as you go” policy.
5. Correctly labeling, rotating products, and maintaining first-in-first-out principles.
6. Accurately completing all production and technical paperwork.
7. Handling allergens, raw, and cooked food with care.
8. Performing tasks involving lifting, bending, stretching, and standing, depending on the task.
9. Working in a cold or hot production area, possibly in full PPE provided by the company.
10. Following written and spoken instructions in English.
11. Being flexible with shift patterns as required.
12. Adhering to Health and Safety requirements at all times.
13. Maintaining concentration and observation skills, even during repetitive tasks.
14. Working collaboratively in a team environment.
15. Providing updates to line managers on opportunities or threats impacting the business.
16. Sharing information that aids decision-making within the department.
17. Complying with applicable legislation and standards (H&S, Food Hygiene, BRC, SALSA, etc.) and reporting violations.
18. Maintaining knowledge of policies and regulations.
19. Participating in specific projects or activities as directed by your line manager.

Salary:
£12.21 per hour, with potential for quick progression after passing probation.
