️ Site Agent – Major Civil Infrastructure (Water Sector) | Thames Water Framework Location: London / South East Salary: Competitive Car/Allowance Benefits Hours: Full Time (45 hours/week) Employment Type: Permanent Are you a proven Site Agent with experience delivering complex civil infrastructure schemes in highly regulated environments? We are recruiting on behalf of a tier-one civil engineering contractor working on a flagship water infrastructure project involving rail and road interface works. This is a long-term opportunity to take ownership of technically challenging packages from design through to delivery on site. About the Role You’ll take a leadership position on the Manor Road NOS7 and NOS8 remediation works – involving the repair of bridge structures and trunk sewer barrels across live rail and road environments. Initially supporting the design and pre-construction phase, you will then lead a team of sub agents, engineers and subcontractors through the full project lifecycle. This is a high-profile Thames Water project requiring technical rigour, innovation, and a strong safety culture. You’ll also play a key role in commercial and stakeholder engagement, including management of temporary works schemes and third-party consents. ✅ Key Responsibilities Project & Site Management Lead the delivery of complex water infrastructure works to programme, budget, and quality standards Manage a site team including sub agents, engineers and operatives Develop and implement project RAMS, ITPs and pre-construction planning Coordinate temporary works designs and approvals Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements Collaborate closely with internal commercial, planning and procurement teams Liaise with statutory bodies and rail/road interfaces for permitting and consents Client Engagement Act as main site lead for client interactions (Thames Water and partners) Chair meetings, update progress and develop trusted working relationships Cost & Value Management Manage project cost plan and drive value engineering initiatives Accurately report project progress and financial forecasts Identify and manage variations and risk mitigation strategies Reporting & KPIs Produce monthly and weekly internal and client reports Ensure key project metrics and compliance indicators are met or exceeded About You Essential: Strong background as Site Agent or Senior Engineer in civil engineering Experience in the water sector, ideally with direct delivery contractors Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regs, and temporary works Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) CSCS card and SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely Temporary Works Coordinator and Confined Space Training Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills Track record delivering high-spec projects in regulated environments Desirable: Experience with rail/road interface projects Lift supervisor or coordinator ticket Knowledge of Primavera P6 CEng or working toward MICE Why Apply?
