Tooling Design Engineer West Midlands (Halesowen/Lye area) Full-time | Permanent Due to continued growth and increased customer demand, we are looking to recruit a Tooling Design Engineer to support a busy and expanding Tooling & Design function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering business delivering into high-specification industries, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and technical excellence. The Role You will be working as part of a small, highly skilled team, responsible for the design and development of tooling solutions used in complex manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include: Designing jigs, fixtures, and tooling for precision-engineered components Producing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX Ensuring all designs meet Teamcentre compliance standards Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across tooling and production Reviewing and checking design work completed by other team members Collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to deliver robust tooling solutions What We’re Looking For Apprenticeship served with HND (or equivalent) in Engineering/Design Proven experience in tooling or jig & fixture design within aerospace, industrial gas turbine, or similar precision industries Strong working knowledge of Siemens NX Experience designing tooling for complex components and processes Understanding of 5-axis grinding fixtures and/or EDM (die sink) tooling is highly advantageous Familiar with Teamcentre or similar PLM systems The Opportunity Join a growing, investment-driven engineering environment Work on technically challenging, high-precision projects Be part of a collaborative team with strong engineering capability Opportunity to influence tooling strategy and continuous improvement initiatives If you’re a Tooling Design Engineer looking for a role where you can apply your expertise to complex engineering challenges while developing your skills further, we’d be keen to hear from you.
