Main Purpose of the Role
This is a new role within a newly formed team, established by the recently appointed Managing Director for External Engagement and Sustainability. The role aims to:
* Secure recognition for GEDU Global Education as a leading, UK-headquartered group with expanding global reach.
* Support the public policy objectives of the Group and its individual companies.
* Showcase and develop activities supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Executive Assistant will provide day-to-day support to the MD to ensure the external engagement and sustainability team operates efficiently and effectively.
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed as needed.
Role and Responsibilities
* Assist the MD with organization, administration, and presentation of the External Engagement and Sustainability team.
* Maintain an up-to-date action tracker, liaising with staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Draft letters, emails, agendas, reports, and presentations, including PowerPoint slides and Excel spreadsheets.
* Provide administrative support such as diary management, scheduling meetings, attending meetings, taking notes, and summarizing actions.
* Maintain comprehensive filing systems, including spreadsheets and databases, for quick and effective document retrieval.
* Act as an ambassador for the MD and team, exercising tact, discretion, and confidentiality.
* Organize and facilitate meetings and events, coordinating logistics and attendance.
* Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by the MD.
* Maintain relationships with senior colleagues across the Group to maximize synergies.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Proven expertise in Microsoft Office 365 programs.
* Attention to detail.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
* Ability to build relationships and work effectively across multiple functions and locations worldwide.
* Discretion is paramount due to the sensitive nature of work.
