About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that stimulate curiosity and build confidence in scientific thinking. Your role will involve preparing students for assessments while instilling a lifelong appreciation for science and its relevance in everyday life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across all key disciplines.
* Promote a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Develop and adapt resources to cater to diverse learning needs.
* Track and report student progress, offering constructive feedback and support.
* Contribute to departmental collaboration and enrichment activities.
* Adhere to safeguarding protocols and promote student welfare consistently.
Science Teacher requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Science.
* Experience teaching Science, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
* A proven track record of raising student attainment and delivering outstanding lessons.
* Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is desirable, but a strong general Science background is essential.
* Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* A passion for Science and a commitment to inspiring young minds through innovative teaching methods.
* Ability to differentiate learning materials to cater to a range of abilities.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
