HR Advisor Location: Bridgwater, Head Office, Showground Road (Office Based) Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour week Salary: £36,990.00 per annum STEF Langdons are experiencing exciting growth and we’re looking for a HR Advisor to join our team. We deliver to almost any location in the UK or Ireland within 24 hours, operating from 11 depots with a fleet of 375 vehicles. We’re proud to be the only company providing a nationwide 24-hour chilled and frozen food service – and we do it exceptionally well. The role: Reporting to the HR Team Leader, you will provide hands-on, proactive HR support to managers across the business, with a strong focus on employee relations and operational HR delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring best practice, policy compliance, and commercially sound decision-making across a wide range of people matters. What you’ll do: Deliver a consistent, people-focused HR service across the organisation, balancing empathy with commercial awareness. Provide an end-to-end service for all employment matters, this includes but is not limited to induction, recruitment, development, and management of colleague issues, complex cases and change initiatives. Support the HR Team Leader to ensure all employment-related policies, procedures and associated documentation are reviewed, brought up-to-date and shared with key colleagues. You will champion staff wellbeing and engagement initiatives on a company-wide basis. Be passionate about continuous improvement and actively seeking opportunities for more effective ways of working. Review and analyse people related data, identifying relevant trends, and recommending solutions aligned with legislation and business needs. Commit to continuous personal and professional development and reflective practice and empower others to do the same. What we’re looking for: CIPD qualification or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of employment law and practical application At least 3 years’ experience in a fast-moving environment Experience coaching and influencing managers at all levels Confident using IT systems and presenting information clearly and professionally Experienced in data preparation and analysis Excellent communication, listening and stakeholder management skills Self-motivated, solution-focused and able to manage competing priorities independently and within a team What's in it for you?
