What’s the role?
Our client Deloitte, a “Big 4” Professional Services firm, are currently looking for candidates to join a Pension & Investment project reviewing advice and suitability complaints.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth Pension and Investment review experience however we also welcome candidates to apply who have a financial planning qualification alongside some complaint handing experience. You will be working as part of a high-quality team helping a major financial service provider in a result orientated, quality-controlled environment where being able to work with a high level of accuracy to prescribed processes and strict deadlines is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Data Enrichment & Validation activity (‘DE&V’)
2. Dealing with Pensions – predominantly SIPP wrappers containing underlying funds – in both accumulation and decumulation phases.
3. Working with OEICs – both ISA and non-ISA as well as Investment Bonds
4. Complaints relating to Venture capital products such as VCTs and EIS schemes and DB pension transfer advice.
5. Carry out customer contact (where required) to conclude Suitability Assessment
6. Perform redress calculations.
7. Write final response letters.
8. Rapidly incorporate ongoing business and process changes into your ways of working and conducting case reviews.
9. Act upon feedback from quality checking functions, learning from any mistakes and rectifying moving forwards.
10. Support other team members with their case reviews.
Essential skills & experience required:
11. Pensions & Investments complaint handling experience OR financial planning qualifications
12. Case handling/Complaint Handling experience beneficial, ideally within Financial Services
13. Experience of dealing with customers in a regulated environment
14. Ability to demonstrate decision making using a holistic approach
15. Strong literacy / numeracy
16. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
17. Ability to work to demanding deadlines (workflow & time management)
18. Ability to attain and maintain specified quality and production targets
19. Ability to work independently & as part of a rapidly changing team
20. Demonstrate an ability to work with honesty, integrity and trustworthiness
21. Maintain high standards of professionalism and competence
22. Good communication skills, including letter writing and telephony
23. PC skills (Word and Excel)
