The Role
Sofina Foods is looking for an experienced and motivated Butchery Supervisor to play a pivotal role in managing daily butchery operations while inspiring and guiding a talented team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled butcher ready to advance into a leadership role, focusing on quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of meat preparation, inventory management, customer interactions, and team development—ensuring our butchery consistently meets the highest standards of presentation, hygiene, and service.
Pay Rate: £12.55 - £12.70 per hour (based on experience)

Your Key Responsibilities
* Prepare a variety of meat cuts to meet both company and customer standards
* Set up and maintain the butchery counter with precision and attention to quality
* Serve and advise customers with professionalism and a helpful approach
* Manage stock rotation, deliveries, and related documentation
* Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
* Support and train team members, fostering a positive and results-focused culture
* Assist with product sampling, promotions, and visual merchandising
* Step in to support the Store or Site Manager as needed
* Use basic IT systems to efficiently manage operational tasks
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a hands‑on leader with strong butchery skills and a passion for customer service.
You’ll Bring
* Strong experience in butchery, ideally in retail or food production
* Previous supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
* Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and legal standards
* Excellent customer service and people skills
* Drive to boost sales and keep displays looking great
* Confidence in coaching, motivating, and guiding a team
* The ability to work under pressure and take initiative
