*The Role:*
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, focused on excellent customer service, staff development, and maintaining our high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational excellence.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
* Prepare staff rotas and ensure timesheets are accurately completed and submitted on time.
* Monitor inventory, place orders, and ensure smooth operational flow.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including allergens protocols and updating allergen matrices.
* Prepare for and manage Environmental Health Officer (EHO) visits, ensuring inspections run smoothly.
* Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new menu items, daily specials, and seasonal offerings.
* Plan and organize special events and promotions to drive business growth.
* Implement strategies to enhance restaurant performance, profitability, and overall guest experience.
* Build strong relationships with regular customers by understanding their preferences and needs.
* Maintain high operational standards and run a tight, efficient, and well-organized restaurant.
*Requirements:*
* Proven experience in the foodservice industry, preferably in a managerial role.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations, allergens protocols, and operational best practices.
* Familiarity with maintaining and updating allergen matrices.
* Experience with EHO inspections and ability to ensure compliance.
* Ability to prepare rotas and manage timesheets efficiently.
* Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
* Familiarity with coffee, bartending, hotel, or catering operations is a plus.
* Track record of achieving sales targets and driving business success.
