A well-established high-performance motorcycle manufacturer is currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer for their Powertrain project.
Job Details
* 45 hours per week
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* 3+ years of CAD design experience in the automotive or motorcycle industry
* Proficiency with PTC Creo
* Strong understanding of powertrain systems and mechanical design principles
* Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Additional Responsibilities
* Develop 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings of powertrain components (e.g., engine cases, cylinder heads, crankshafts, transmission gears, covers, intakes and exhausts)
* Create assemblies and integrate them into complete motorcycle models, ensuring compatibility and packaging feasibility
* Support the design and development of internal combustion engines and hybrid/electric powertrains
* Perform tolerance stack-ups, material selection, and design for manufacturability (DFM)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, procurement, and vehicle integration
* Conduct design reviews and implement feedback from simulation, validation, and prototype testing
