Our client, a reputable and well-established family run automotive dealership, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Workshop Controller to join their busy service department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled motor trade professional looking to progress their career within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Workshop Controller and ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop.

2. Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturday Mornings paid @ £90

Duties:
8. Assist the Assistant Aftersales Manager in managing daily workshop operations
9. Assist service dept with call handling & various other admin roles
10. Allocate work to technicians efficiently, maximising productivity
11. Ensure high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
12. Liaise with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle repairs
13. Monitor workshop workflow and ensure timely completion of jobs
14. Maintain accurate workshop records and invoicing
15. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff where appropriate
16. Promote health and safety practices within the workshop
Requirements:
17. Proven experience as a workshop controller, assistant workshop controller, or similar role within the automotive sector
18. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repairs and servicing
19. Excellent organisational and communication skills
20. Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
21. Full UK driving licence
22. Knowledge of manufacturer standards and workshop management systems
23. Proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service
