Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
·Deliver specialist care and education to patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma throughout their treatment journey.
·Act as a key worker, offering personalised support and advice on managing symptoms, treatment plans, and overall well-being.
·Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary team discussions, ensuring holistic care is provided.
·Educate and train staff, patients, and their families about multiple myeloma and the latest advancements in treatments.
·Run nurse led clinics after achieving all required competencies.
·UKONS SACT competencies completed
·Participate in research, clinical trials, and audits to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
·Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
·Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in oncology or haematology, or a similar specialist area with at least 12 months at B6 in same area.
·Experience in managing haematological malignancies, particularly myeloma, is highly desirable.
·Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
·Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
·Willingness to complete any further studies incl NMP/ Physical Assessment .

Essential criteria
1. Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
2. Substantial experience in oncology or haematology, or a similar specialist area with at least 12 months at B6
3. Completed Advanced Communication course or similar
4. Willingness to complete any further studies incl NMP/ Physical Assessment .
Desirable criteria
5. Experience in managing haematological malignancies, particularly myeloma, is highly desirable.
6. Experience of being part of an oncology multidisciplinary team
