Location: Tunbridge Wells (within 10mins walk train station)
Salary: £30,000
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Company pension scheme

Join a vibrant finance team within a well-established group of companies based in Tunbridge Wells. This company operates across multiple businesses, some of which are not co-located, so adaptability and clear communication are essential. The business prides itself on efficient, paperless processes, collaborative workflows, and a structured team of five within the finance department. You’ll be supported, but also entrusted with your own responsibilities.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will work collaboratively in a team of 5, each with individual timelines and responsibilities, ensuring smooth operation across the wider finance function. You’ll be supporting multiple companies and expected to manage daily finance operations confidently and with attention to detail.
Core Responsibilities:
* Handling sales ledger and credit control across multiple businesses
* Performing credit control via email and phone
* Working with Excel (filters, sums, basic formulas)
* General accounting support
* Optionally using Sage Line 50 (knowledge helpful but not essential)
* Adhering to internal processes in a paperless office environment
* Working with shared filing systems and spreadsheets
Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for someone who has 18 months plus experience and is highly attentive to detail, adaptable, and open to working with different teams and company processes. You should be a strong team player while managing individual workloads, personable with a professional and collaborative attitude, and comfortable navigating the challenges of remote collaboration with colleagues in other locations.
