Housing Officer
Glasgow
£35,839 - £37,726 per year plus £600 car allowance
37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housing Officer to join our team based in Glasgow. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that high quality housing management services are delivered to our residents with a focus on making a real difference to their lives. This is a varied opportunity that will see you managing a range of situations and helping to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working in a professional manner to resolve problems and improve services.
The role of Housing Officer will include:
* Delivering a high-quality housing management service to tenants, partners and key stakeholders
* Ensuring arrears targets are met, and allocating void and new let properties
* Investigating and resolving anti-social behaviour cases
* Completing estate management weekly inspections
* Identifying shortfalls in service delivery and putting plans of resolution into place
* Managing the recruitment, performance and development of staff to ensure business needs are met
* Ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements for all housing management activities
Skills and experiences:
* Proven experience of undertaking a similar role within housing
* Knowledge of relevant housing regulations and legislation
* Proven experience of delivery high quality tenancy services
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to implement solutions
* Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
* Basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages is essential
* SVQ3 in relevant area or equivalent qualification
* Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
