Vehicle Technician - Franchised Car Dealership, Guildford
1. Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 basic + Bonuses
2. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (No weekends)
3. Bonus Structure: Paid on hourly rate, starting at 70% efficiency
4. Optional Overtime: Saturdays available at time and a half (No expectation to work weekends)
5. Holiday: 21 days + bank holidays (increases over time)
We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our franchised car dealership team in Guildford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced technician who wants a Monday to Friday role with no weekend commitments, an excellent salary package, and the chance to develop within a forward-thinking dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Diagnostics & Triage: Identify issues efficiently and determine whether to fix the vehicle yourself or delegate the repair, ensuring sign-off. Training will be provided for this depending on your current skill level.
7. Mechanical & Electrical Repairs: Carry out high-quality repairs and servicing to manufacturer standards.
8. Efficient Work Practice: Maintain high productivity and efficiency, ensuring vehicles are diagnosed and repaired promptly.
9. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the workshop.
10. Manufacturer Training: Stay up to date with the latest vehicle technologies and diagnostic procedures.

What We Are Looking For:
16. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
17. Some diagnostic skills with experience in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
18. Ability to work efficiently, with attention to detail.
19. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
20. Previous experience in a franchised dealership preferred but not essential.
21. A full UK driving licence.
