Are you a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? RAC has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) department at our iconic Bescot office in Walsall!
Position Overview
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:00-18:00, with 1 in 4 Saturdays (and a rest day during the week).
Your Role
As a Resourcing & Scheduling Specialist with SMR, you will take charge of all allocated resources, including contact centre colleagues and Mobile Mechanics. In this dynamic role, you will:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with frontline colleagues and management to deliver outstanding service.
* Ensure resources are at appropriate levels in line with forecasts.
* Optimize Mobile Mechanics’ diaries to help them achieve their Jobs per Shift targets.
* Build and issue annual rosters in accordance with agreed forecast plans, rules, and constraints.
* Resolve resource issues in real-time to keep operations running smoothly.

Your Key Responsibilities
Rostering: You will manage resource scheduling for defined colleagues within SMR.
* Ensure Full-Time Equivalents (FTE) are scheduled to meet forecasts for optimal service levels.
* Communicate any issues that could hinder KPI achievement to line management.
* Build rosters that meet demand while maintaining a fair work/life balance.
* Manage annual leave, training, and downtime according to business rules.
* Effectively re-roster as required by the business.
* Oversee the management of new starters and leavers.
Tactical Planning: Ensure the team is scheduled at the right times, adhering to constraints to maximize Jobs per Shift and deliver optimal resourcing outcomes.
