Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high‑quality nursing care to patients, contribute to ongoing health promotion, support our clinicians, and work collaboratively with administrative staff.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality nursing care, including clinical assessments, managing long‑term conditions, and administering vaccinations.
* Perform procedures such as ECGs and venepuncture.
* Provide health promotion and patient education, support preventive care initiatives, and contribute to the development and monitoring of individual care plans.
* Maintain accurate clinical records, adhere to infection control and safety standards, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
Essential Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse (RN) qualification with valid NMC registration.
Desirable Qualifications
* Independent Prescribing.
* Minor Illness Management.
Experience
* Competence in administering vaccinations (adult and seasonal).
* Experience delivering childhood immunisations per national schedules.
* Proficiency in cervical screening, including managing non‑responder recalls.
* Experience in long‑term condition management.
* Ability to undertake hypertension reviews and support patients with monitoring and lifestyle guidance.
* Experience providing anticoagulation services, including Warfarin and DOAC monitoring.
* Strong clinical judgement and ability to work autonomously within scope of practice.
* Excellent communication and compassionate, patient‑centred approach.
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record‑keeping.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy practice environment.
* Welsh language skills desirable.
