Your newpany
You'll be joining a global pharmaceuticalpany advancing next‑generation antibody therapeutics through cutting‑edge engineering and digital innovation. You’ll work in a collaborative environment at the interface of wet‑lab science andputational modelling.
Your new role
You'll be working in a well-established and experienced team focused around antibody development to support the generation of novel therapeutics by generating high‑quality biophysical data to support antibody optimisation and the development of AI/ML‑driven design tools.
This is initially a 12 month contract role that has the potential to extend.
Main responsibilities will include:
1. Generating and analysing biophysical data for panels of antibodies and proteins
2. Assessing molecule quality prior to characterisation, including purity and stability
3. Performing assays to evaluate binding affinity, thermal stability, self‑interaction, and non‑specific binding
4. Collaborating withputational colleagues to ensure data is formatted for digital and AI‑driven analysis
5. Supporting evaluation of in silico optimisation tools through experimental validation
6. Reporting andmunicating findings to multidisciplinary teams
7. Contributing to the development of new methods in antibody characterisation
8. Working flexibly to deliver high‑quality data against project timelines
This is a fully lab-based role.
What you'll need to succeed
A strong candidate willbine biophysical expertise with a collaborative and delivery‑focused mindset.Key requirements:
9. An MSc/PhD or equivalent experience in biology, biochemistry, or similar with a focus on protein or antibody biophysical characterisation
10. Hands‑on experience with techniques assessing affinity, stability, aggregation, and binding properties; preferably within an industry setting (eg pharma, biotech or CRO)
11. Strong understanding of protein or antibody developability concepts
12. Excellent organisational, munication, and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary wet‑lab andputational teams
An interest inputational methods, AI/ML, or digital antibody design is an advantage, as is any exposure to structural visualisation tools ( PyMOL). However, as this is a wet-lab role, putational experience is not essential.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship until at least July 2027 (preferably beyond). No sponsorship is available for this role.
What you'll get in return
You'll get the chance to impact thepany's early pipeline of molecules, as well as working on innovative projects with a highly experienced team.
There is also a good day rate on offer.
