Architect & Architectural Assistant – Client-Side Developer, London
We’re working exclusively with a London-based residential developer who is looking to grow their in-house design team. They’re hiring a Part II Architectural Assistant and a Part III Architect on a permanent basis, and these roles genuinely offer something a little different.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work client-side, this is a chance to step away from the constant pressures of fee-earning and get involved in projects from the earliest ideas right through to delivery. You’ll be much closer to the decision-making process, and the work tends to move quicker with fewer layers to navigate.
The Architect will take a lead role across RIBA Stages 2–5, coordinating consultants, managing Revit models and ensuring compliance with current regulations, including the Building Safety Act.
The Part II will support on drawings, models and planning/construction information, with proper exposure to the full project cycle. The team will fully support you through your Part 3.
What they’re looking for:
* Architect: ARB registered, roughly 5–8 years’ experience, confident technically and strong in Revit.
* Part II: RIBA Part II qualified with solid Revit experience and a good understanding of UK regs.
* Experience working on internal layouts for residential schemes will be a big plus.
* Someone organised, communicative and happy working closely with different teams.
Both positions are office-based in London, with great project exposure and the chance to work directly for a developer who is genuinely shaping new homes across the city.
If you’d like to be considered, please send your CV and portfolio to Planning Recruitment, referencing Developer Design Team – London. If you don’t hear from us within five days, unfortunately it means we’re unable to progress your application this time, but we’ll keep your details on file for future roles.
*Where we indicate a band of PQE for a role, this indicates how long we would expect an architectural professional to take to gain the level of experience required in an appropriate context. It does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE who can demonstrate that they have acquired the relevant experience. If you meet the criteria listed above, please apply with a copy of your CV by pressing the apply button to be considered. We receive many applications so if you do not hear from us within 5 days, please consider your application unsuccessful this time. We will keep a copy of your details on file for future vacancies.
