Overview
The role involves monitoring and analysing operating data from the manufacturing process using statistical tools, both proactively (statistical quality/process control) and reactively (troubleshooting); maintaining/creation of process documentation, including process flow diagrams, operating instructions, training documentation, and machine specifications; assisting in coordinating the implementation and commissioning of any new machinery within the department and ensuring correct and safe operation before handover to production personnel.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and analyse operating data from the manufacturing process using statistical tools.
* Apply proactive statistical quality/process control and reactive troubleshooting to maintain process performance.
* Maintain and create process documentation (process flow diagrams, operating instructions, training documentation, machine specifications).
* Assist in coordinating implementation and commissioning of new machinery within the department; ensure safe operation prior to handover to production personnel.
* Manage key material and equipment stock control.
* Lead improvements to current processing parameters/techniques and explore new systems/methods for efficient production of all products.
* Lead trials within the department and provide full feedback to Technical and Quality Assurance Departments with required samples.
* Train operators as required.
Qualifications
* Have 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience in managing stock control.
* Ability to contribute to or lead improvement teams.
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
