Job Title: Support Worker / Personal Assistant

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Hours: Full-Time pr part-time

Salary: Starting at £14 per hour, increasing to at least £15.12 after 6 months' probation

Contract Type: Permanent

My Life is looking for a Support Worker / Personal Assistant to support a wonderful 12-year-old boy in his family home, school environment and out in the community.

My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. We pride ourselves on being a unique service. We offer personalised support to a diverse range of individuals living in their own homes. Each person has their own dedicated team, delivering support that's tailored specifically to their needs and preferences. This isn't a one-size-fits-all approach—it's about making sense for them and making a difference.

What You'll Be Doing:

· Supporting in daily routines, during school, and during community outings

· Assisting with personal care and complex care needs

· Supporting during school hours

· Helping with hydrotherapy sessions weekly

· Encouraging confidence, and having fun in all environments – from classroom to swimming pool to days out

Who We're Looking For:

* Someone who's energetic, fun-loving, and not afraid to get stuck in
* Caring and compassionate, with a willingness to support both physical and emotional needs
* Interested in education, care, or child development — ideal for a Teaching Assistant looking for a more varied and hands-on role
* Comfortable with a mix of early starts, later finishes, and some weekend work
* A reliable team player, as you'll typically work as part of a team of two
