Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Telford
Salary: A GBP 50,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 37 hours a week, working 8am : 4:30pm Mon:Thu and early finish on a Friday (hybrid working available)

The ideal candidate would be someone with a solid background in designing and integrating electrical systems for complex products, and who has previously worked as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Development Engineer, Electrical Systems Engineer, Electrical Integration Engineer, Electronics Design Engineer, CAD Electrical Engineer, Electrical Product Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer.

The Role:
As an Electrical Design Engineer, youll work on the design and integration of electrical equipment at both system and subAEUR'system levels. This is a highly varied position that will expose you to a wide range of vehicle technologies, communication systems, and electrical subsystems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce electrical drawings, design specifications, technical plans and reports in line with contract requirements.
* Design and reAEUR'engineer components/systems for modifications, repairs and product enhancements.
* Support system validation including creating test schedules, integration plans and technical investigation reports.
* Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
* Maintain current knowledge of engineering developments and apply them effectively.
* Plan and schedule your own work to meet time/cost constraints.
* Conduct selfAEUR'verification and peer crossAEUR'checks to ensure quality and completeness of design outputs.
* Ensure all engineering designs meet requirements for:
* Safety
* Design for Manufacture
* Target Cost
* EMC, reliability and maintainability
About You:
Youll be an electrically biased engineer with:
* A Degree / HND (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering
* Strong electrical design experience using CREO (ProAEUR'E/Pro Engineer) or NX
* Experience designing components/systems for new and existing products
* The ability to develop innovative engineering solutions
* Proficiency in the use of IT, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Project
* Strong analytical and problemAEUR'solving ability
* An understanding of Def Stan 61AEUR'5 Part 6 (12V/24V Vehicle Systems), Def Stan 59AEUR'411 (EMC) with E3 electrical design package
Please note, that you also, MUST:
* Be able to obtain Security Clearance
* Have been in the UK for the last 5 years
* Be willing to go through a DBS check, initially, followed by full SC clearance
