My Lancashire based client is looking to appoint a UK HR Lead.
You will be part of the UK Leadership Team and a key member of the international HR Team.
As HR Lead for the UK, you will develop & implement the UK People Strategy and provide expert guidance to leaders in supporting the Business in the UK and as the role/business evolves through continued expansion into the European region. The role will include:
* Coaching leaders, working with the SLT to solve people and cultural issues, and enabling business change.
* Providing support to leadership on people change, talent development & attraction, and ongoing growth.
* Partnering with the business and driving regional talent initiatives.
* Identifying critical people requirements to achieve business results in relation to training & skills, including development opportunities.
* Talent planning, recruitment, performance management, employee relations & employee engagement activities.
* Implementation and continuous improvement of HR processes.
* Driving organisational effectiveness and enabling business change.
* Building high-performing teams, coaching, and mentoring managers.
* Project management of people-related projects and working with the international HR team.
This is a hugely exciting role with the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the expansion and longer-term development of the European business, initially focusing on the UK. This is a successful, reputable business, and the SLT recognizes the importance of engagement, teamwork, and having fun while you work!
To be considered for this role, you will be a proven HR Generalist in a Head of HR, HR Manager role, or equivalent, with the gravitas & experience to partner & influence the SLT as well as operational HR and drive change (including TUPE & restructuring).
My client is looking for a solutions-focused & commercially astute Head of HR with sound business partnering and relationship-building skills, and experience of partnering and coaching a newly formed SLT.
Additionally, experience within a complex, matrixed structure and European/international regions and growth is key (experience in the Nordics is especially useful).
Experience within various sectors is helpful – a background within FMCG, Logistics, Manufacturing/Engineering, or Construction is key, with a mix of ‘blue’ & ‘white’ collar workforce.
This role will suit an individual who enjoys working with autonomy, with a blend of hands-on and strategic approaches, leading and developing a small HR team, and playing an integral role on the SLT and wider HR team beyond the UK region.
As the UK HR Lead, you will need to be a pragmatic individual able to further develop and ‘bed-in’ the UK HR offering initially, before expanding & developing the role & responsibilities into parts of Northern Europe.
