This role offers a flexible part‑time schedule of 20 hours per week with weekend duties required. Our stores operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we work with you to arrange shifts that suit your lifestyle.
Qualifications
* You must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
* You must have at least 6 months continuous employment within the Pharmacy industry (hospital & community).
* You will have an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services/Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed by a GPhC accredited route (GPhC approved courses and recognised qualifications).
Responsibilities
* Check the accuracy of dispensed medicines, verifying patient details, medication type, dosage, labelling and packaging.
* Report any medication errors or incidents promptly and correctly.
* Conduct final accuracy checks of items clinically checked by a Pharmacist.
* Conduct regular audits of the dispensary and stock levels and supervise pharmacy assistants to ensure proper dispensing procedures.
* Maintain proper documentation and records of all tasks undertaken, guiding and training pharmacy staff and sharing knowledge and expertise.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and practices.
* Support the Pharmacist with the delivery and effective record‑keeping of patient services (e.g., blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
* Drive awareness of all additional services offered in Pharmacy (e.g., Blood Pressure, New Medicine Service, Asda Online Doctor).
* Develop an understanding of our Standard Operating Procedures and work to them so customers receive the best experience.

You are naturally friendly, highly organised, and eager to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results. You have excellent attention to detail, good computer skills, strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with customers.
You possess problem‑solving skills, a passion for helping people, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy in a busy pharmacy environment. You understand regulatory standards and the importance of compliance.
You care about giving customers a great healthcare experience, helping them find what they need, and having a chat along the way.
