United Feeds, part of Dale Farm the UKs largest farmer-owned dairy cooperative manufactures blended and compound feeds for dairy, beef, and sheep, with production facilities in Belfast and Dungannon. Core to our success is our people, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Systems Accountant, based at our Belfast site. The Role: Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a dual role in delivering accurate and timely financial information and ensuring finance systems, processes and data flows support reliable, efficient financial operations. This role is ideal for an accountant that has experience producing management accounts and experience with systems to improve financial processes. Accounting & Reporting Responsibilities: Produce timely and accurate monthly and weekly management accounts, including variance analysis, margin analysis and insightful commentary. Contribute to the annual budgeting process. Support year-end statutory accounts preparation and associated audit queries Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring all reconciliations are completed monthly and reviewed with the Financial Controller. Partnering with site management to identify performance improvement opportunities and collaborate on value-adding initiatives. Provide cross-team support when required, including credit control activities and cover for the Accounts Receivable function. Finance System Responsibilities: Participate in improvement and transformation projects to enhance reporting quality, streamline workflows and automate finance processes. Improve system workflows, approval routes and reporting outputs. Develop and enhance dashboards using tools such as Power BI What we are looking for: Qualified accountant with an internationally recognised professional accounting bodies (ICAI, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA etc). Excellent financial modelling and data analysis skills; highly proficient in advanced Excel techniques, as well as other typical business productivity tools. Experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Microsoft Business Central (desirable) Strong commercial and business acumen. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc) Power BI (desirable) High attention to detail Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available) Why United Feeds?
