Based in Glasgow, our client is recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis for a duration of 3–6 months. The role is a 35-hour working week, with standard hours being 9am–5pm Monday to Friday. This role offers a flexible working environment, including hybrid working options to support work-life balance. Your new role
As Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end payroll services across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing while supporting the wider function with your expertise and proactive approach.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing the full payroll cycle from input to reconciliation and reporting
2. Ensuringpliance with statutory regulations and internal policies
3. Liaising with HR and Finance teams to resolve queries and improve processes
4. Supporting audits and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
5. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices
What you'll need to succeed
You will have solid experience in end-to-end payroll processing and a strong understanding of payroll legislation. Experience with iTrent or similar payroll systems is highly desirable. You’ll be a confidentmunicator and a natural team player who can integrate seamlessly into a supportive and fast-paced environment.
