We’re looking for a compassionate and resilient Health Care Assistant to join a multidisciplinary team at HMP Bronzefield, working full‑time (35 hours per week) within an integrated healthcare service. You’ll deliver high‑quality nursing care and psychosocial interventions within a structured prison setting, supporting patients through medical detox, recovery programmes, and complex physical, psychological, and social needs, working closely with Registered Nurses and the wider clinical team to provide safe, person‑centred care.
Personal qualities that matter
You’ll work within strict clinical governance frameworks, adhering to the NMC Code, safeguarding procedures, infection control standards, and prison security requirements. You’ll manage competing priorities, contribute to risk assessments, and support safe, effective treatment journeys from admission through to recovery.
This is a role where structure meets compassion, and where your work directly supports recovery, stability, and change.
All prison‑based roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and HMPPS security vetting. These checks can take up to 5 months to complete. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of both checks.
Please note if you have lived overseas within the last 5 years, then checks may take longer.
