Job Overview
Applications are invited for a full-time Consultant Colorectal Surgeon with an interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, based at the Royal Gwent Hospital. This is a new post.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic team of surgeons within the division of General Surgery and will be required to be part of the General Surgery on-call rota. Training in emergency general surgery management is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality clinical services in colorectal surgery.
* Lead and support staff engaged in the specialty.
* Sustain and develop teaching and research activities.
* Work in accordance with the Health Board's policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements
* Full GMC registration and license to practice.
* On the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT/CESR(CP) date.
* Eligibility for a UK Work Visa (Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa).
