Operations Director for Works and Service

We're looking for an Operations Director for Works and Service to join our Frameworks Team and create a real impact by proactively managing the compliance and performance of the framework partners, driving their adherence to procedures and achievement of performance targets and framework volumes, as well as overseeing and supporting their active and developing project and services pipelines.

Your new role
The Operations Director for Works and Service is a key role reporting to the Director of Frameworks, you'll be responsible for leading the Framework Management team in respect of the Works & Services Frameworks, specifically the National Construction Frameworks, the Regional Construction Frameworks, the Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Frameworks and the Utilities Frameworks.
What you'll do
* The role will lead the proactive management, compliance, and performance of allocated delivery partners, driving adherence to procedures, achievement of performance targets and framework volumes and framework growth.
* Lead and develop a team of Framework Managers and take an executive leadership role in respect of the relationships with the Managing Directors / Senior Framework Directors of the Delivery Partners.
* The role will also include liaison with key clients to realise further opportunities or successfully resolve issues, in conjunction with the Business Development Director and the team.
* The role will be required to maximise the growth potential of the Frameworks business in the execution of the role and take operational responsibility for the delivery of the Works & Services Fee.
What you'll bring
* Degree level or equivalent in a construction related discipline.
* Chartered or membership of a construction or procurement professional body.
* Practical working knowledge of construction contracts and ideally NEC.
* A thorough understanding of construction including procurement, design, costs, and the construction process encompassing traditional procurement, frameworks and standardised approaches.
* Proven ability to cultivate, develop, manage and maintain relationships at a senior level with customers and delivery partners.
* Practical knowledge of public sector frameworks is desirable along with an understanding of current issues and trends within Local Government and the wider public sector including those related to the Governments' construction strategy.
* Understanding of regulations, and legislation related to buildings, civils and/or utilities and the construction process. This includes detailed knowledge and understanding of UK procurement legislation and contracts.
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of performance management arrangements, systems, protocols and procedures including Construction KPI's and nationally produced benchmarking sources.
* Knowledge and understanding of the processes required in undertaking audits within construction.

* An attractive salary of up to £ 85000 to £95000 dependant on experience.
