Job Description:
Teaching Responsibilities Include:
* Work with the other EYFS Teachers and Heads of Early Years to plan and deliver the EYFS Curriculum ensuring that children have access to a wide variety of learning experiences during their time in Nursery and Reception
* Provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment that is pleasant to work in and in which the children can grow socially, emotionally, mentally and physically.
* Teach effectively in a style suitable for very young children and which reflects the School's policies, objectives and ethos and be able to implement continuous provision to support the children's learning.
* Promote indoor and outdoor play, recognising the importance of the outdoor environment and plan to spend a significant amount of time supporting outdoor play and learning.
* Assess, monitor and record the children's progress as a continuous process throughout the year. Observe, photograph and note children's learning during self-initiated and teacher-led activities and regularly upload these electronically to Tapestry.
* Be aware of the varied needs and abilities of the children and reflect these both in planning and the implementation of the curriculum.
* Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement
* Liaise with parents to ensure strong home school links.
* Support the implementation of EHCPs and the IEPs.
* Promote the use of ICT in learning activities and develop pupils' competence and independence in its use.
