Job Title: Assistant Psychologist
We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team working within the Neurodevelopmental team for children and young people. The Neurodevelopmental team is a vital part of the City & Hackney children and Young People's mental health service (CAMHS), providing assessment and treatment options for children with complex, severe, or persistent emotional, behavioral, or developmental issues.
Your role will involve supporting ongoing service evaluation, participating in clinical work, and collaborating with experienced clinicians. You will be involved in assessments, as well as group, family, and individual interventions with our diverse client base in City and Hackney. The position offers a supportive work environment, with training and supervision, making it an ideal opportunity for a motivated individual.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support in planning and coordinating diagnostic assessment clinics and complete supervised diagnostic assessments with children aged 6-18.
2. Assist in planning and supporting post-diagnostic interventions, including group parenting programs and psychoeducation (virtual/individual/group).
3. Help organize clinic and group schedules, oversee multidisciplinary team diary management, and complete related tasks under the supervision of the Clinical Operational Lead.
4. Support qualified staff in conducting diagnostic assessments (e.g., ADOS, school observations, cognitive assessments, play-based assessments) and assist in compiling diagnostic reports.

You should have good research and service evaluation skills, with experience in Excel and SPSS or Stata.
