Overview
As a Technical Data Engineer at Airbus, you will ensure our commitment to customers extends throughout the entire aircraft lifecycle by capturing design changes and maintaining highly accurate aircraft configurations. You will be at the forefront of aviation safety, delivering high‑quality maintenance instructions that directly support daily airline operations and resolve critical in‑service issues.
Responsibilities
- Create, verify, and validate critical maintenance manuals (AMM, TSM, and AFI for ATA 32 Landing Gears) in strict compliance with international standards and EASA regulations.
- Evaluate technical drawings, design modifications, and source data to ensure maintenance manuals perfectly reflect the exact configuration of every delivered aircraft.
- Resolve daily customer technical queries via the Tech Request tool and provide proactive, on‑time solutions for critical Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations.
- Monitor, steer, and review subcontracted authoring activities to ensure documentation is delivered according to approved schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Actively contribute to future digital initiatives, optimise Technical Data processes, and achieve Quality Authorisation (C1 Incoming Inspection) to enhance overall service delivery.
Qualifications
- Professional background and experience in Aerospace Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance operations, and production processes – specific to landing gear.
- Demonstrated capability in Aircraft Configuration Management.
- Working knowledge of international technical authoring standards and related documentation tools.
- Applied experience in technical risk and opportunity management.
- Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.
