What you’ll do
* Lead important buying exercises and guide the team on public-sector procurement rules.
* Build strong relationships across the organisation.
* Coach and develop colleagues and set a clear direction for commercial excellence.
* Be our go-to advisor on procurement law and policy.
* Manage projects and resources to deliver results on time.
* Step in for the Head of Commercial and Contract Management when needed and represent us regionally and nationally.
What we’re looking for
* Solid experience in procurement, especially in the public sector and UK regulations.
* Proven people leadership and the ability to juggle priorities.
* Project management know-how.
* Great communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
* MCIPS (or equivalent experience) and degree-level education (or equivalent).
* Be part of a team that delivers an outstanding service
* 24 days of annual leave including bank holidays (increasing with length of service)
