The role | Tetūnga
AsSenior Advisor – Information Systems, you will report to the Unit Manager Data and Information Management and work in close partnership with the Data and Information Management team.You willprovide advanced operational support for information management systems and processes, bridging technical operations and advisory functions. You will support the delivery of best practice data and information management, contribute to continuous improvement, andprovidespecialist advice. You will coach and support junior team members, work closely withseniortechnical staff andpartner with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
The key to success in this role is being skilled atdeveloping strong relationships withcustomers andstakeholders, listening carefullyto understandneedsand then findingmutually beneficialsolutions thatuplift information managementpractices.
The suite of MS365 tools and systems is evolving rapidlyalong withthe need to integrate with other systemsandplatforms.The position will require continuous learningand the ability to researchproblems and find innovative solutions.
Yourrolewillbeto:
* ProvideadvancedInformation Management System support– ensuring all systemsrelated to information management are stable,secureand meet information management and Stats NZ requirements.
* Maintain a variety of systemsthat support data and information management, contribute to regular projects toautomateand/or refine processes and to develop solutions to issues.
* Continually work towards automation and continual service improvement
* Mentor and provide support to other members of the team
* Partner with internal and external customers and stakeholdersin order toprovide best practice data and information management advice,supportand system solutionsthat meets their needs.
* Research complex issues and develop practical solutions to them.
* Lead work in your practice areaof information management systems
What you bring |Nōuterourou
* Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as information management or information technology
* Minimum 3 years’ experience administering and leading the provision of Information Management services through MS365 tools
* Experience in operational support for information management systems
* Excellent customer engagement skills
* Ability to translate customer needs or requirements into practical initiatives
* Experience coaching or mentoring junior staff.
* Written and oral communication skills suitable for a varied audience in a corporate setting.
* Knowledge or commitment to developing understanding of TeTiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo, Te Ao Māori
* Demonstrated advocacy for, or support of, diversity and inclusion.
