Job Overview
The post holder will work at an enhanced level of practice utilising highly developed post graduate ultrasound experience, knowledge and skills in sonographic imaging and diagnostic reporting. As part of the ultrasound team, the post holder will provide an effective and efficient ultrasound service, assist in day-to-day operational management of the sonography team, department, and provide effective leadership.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out a wide range of complex clinical duties, acting on own initiative and using professional, analytical and reasoning skills.
* Performing a wide range of complex general scans, reporting examinations without routine input from other professional disciplines.
* Making decisions regarding follow-up scans to monitor conditions and referrals to appropriate clinicians when necessary.
* Communicating highly sensitive information to patients and clinicians.
* Traveling across sites to cover lists and managerial support.
