A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of major infrastructure projects as part of the AMP8 water framework. With projects valued up to £50m, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team working on complex, long-term programmes that have a direct impact on communities and the environment.
This Senior Quantity Surveyor role is based out of the contractor's Enfield office, with hybrid working typically allowing for two days a week from home.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the full commercial lifecycle of infrastructure projects, with key responsibilities including contract administration (NEC3 & NEC4), cost control, subcontract management, and supporting junior team members in their development.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Commercial management of projects up to £50m in value within the AMP8 programme
* Administration of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including change management
* Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and performance monitoring
* Monthly reporting, forecasting, and cost value reconciliations
* Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure or utilities
* Working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract
* Experience mentoring or line managing junior staff
* Ideally, experience in the water sector (AMP frameworks desirable)
* Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
