The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a classroom effectively, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.

The right candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's experience of working directly within early years.

Reports to: Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the development of children aged 0-5 years.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships within the nursery community.
* Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences while managing daily classroom activities.
* Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and contribute to the overall management of the nursery.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting positive behaviour among children.
* A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to continuous professional development.

* Empathy with children, colleagues and parents/carers
* Enthusiasm for working with young children

Qualifications
* Completion of a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development – or be working towards completion
* Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (Group 2)
* Health & Safety certificate
* First Aid certificate
