About the Setting This specialised resource provides a bespoke learning environment for pupils with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). You will be part of a highly trained team that uses PECS, Makaton, and sensory:led learning to ensure every pupil reaches their emotional and academic potential.
Roles and Responsibilities

Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
*
Utilising adaptive strategies and sensory tools to remove barriers to learning.
*
Assisting with personal care and mobility requirements where necessary.
*
Monitoring and documenting pupil progress against specific SEMH targets.
*
Leading small:group social skills and emotional literacy (ELSA) activities.
Requirements
*
Significant experience working with pupils with SEND (specifically Autism).
*
Knowledge of non:verbal communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton).
*
A resilient, patient, and proactive nature.
