Summary Reporting to the RMO Manager and collaborating closely with sales, operations, and project management teams, this position plays a pivotal role in coordinating, managing, and delivering all services and driving growth. Responsible for effectively managing the implementation of client projects, the Technical Project Manager works with available resources and partner organisations to ensure project success within defined parameters. With direct responsibility for project outcomes, the Technical Project Manager ensures delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality requirements. This hybrid role, based in Chelmsford, involves travel to client and data centre sites for active participation, management, and leadership. ? Project Exposure Requirements End-to-end project management, encompassing data centre audits, migrations, and commissioning. Proficiency in asset and connectivity auditing, data centre IMACs, and general maintenance. Experience in office tech builds, moves, and consolidations, along with hardware refreshes and network connectivity. Knowledge of WAN/LAN connectivity, wireless networks, desktop transformation, and structured cabling. Ability to manage technical design and individual project requirements effectively. ? Individual Requirements As the face of the company, the Technical Project Manager must be authoritative, friendly, flexible, resourceful, and highly motivated, with excellent team player skills. Must demonstrate well-disciplined prioritisation, time management, and multitasking abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills, both face-to-face and remotely, are essential. Ability to own, manage, visualise, and deliver full project lifecycle management experience to clients. Adaptability, proactive mindset, and willingness to embrace change and growth within the company. ? Experience, Knowledge, and Background Experienced in a wide range of technologies, especially in data centre, office-based, server, storage, and network infrastructures. Solid background in all aspects of data centres and critical IT space, including service delivery, installation, and implementation. Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, managing milestones, quality standards, and formal change management. Experience in managing partner/suppliers/clients, with direct ownership of customer relationships. Strong IT project management skills with a broad understanding of IT infrastructure and relevant methodologies. Proficiency in communication tools, Microsoft Excel, and other cloud-based applications. Minimum of degree-level education or equivalent and a clean driving license. PMP/Prince2/Agile qualifications and experience preferred, along with knowledge of ITIL service management principles and Microsoft Projects. This job requires creating and executing project work plans, fostering communication, and ensuring project standards are enforced while minimising exposure and risk.
