Supply Star Little Learners is working in partnership with an award winning nursery chain in Shrewsbury, who are in search of Level 3 (and above) qualified Early Years Professionals to support them in continuing to deliver outstanding care and education to young children aged 0-5 years old. Level 3 Nursery Practitioners: create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, ensuring each child’s individual needs are met inline with the EYFS

Key Responsibilites:

* Activity Planning: Plan and deliver engaging activities that support developmental milestones in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

* Observation & Tracking: Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in their learning folders.

* Safety & Safeguarding: Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest, ensuring strict compliance with health and safety and safeguarding regulations.

* Relationship Building: Foster positive partnerships with parents, carers, and colleagues through effective communication.

Room Leaders: Responsible for managing a specific room, supervising a small team of practitioners, and ensuring high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilites:

* Team Leadership: Supervising and mentoring room practitioners, identifying training needs, and fostering a respectful team culture.

* Educational Planning: Overseeing age-appropriate planning, observations, and assessments to track children’s progress.

* Safety & Compliance: Maintaining Ofsted standards and ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and staff-to-child ratios are met.

* Parental Engagement: Building professional relationships with families and providing daily updates on children’s development.

Requirements:

* Previous leadership experience of managing rooms (ideally minimum 1 year)

Deputy Nursery Manager: Supporting the Nursery Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality care, and maintaining compliance with EYFS and Ofsted standards. Key responsibilities include leading staff, managing health and safety, building parent partnerships, and deputising in the manager's absence.

Key Responsibilites:

* Leadership & Management: Assist with staff rotas, recruitment, induction, and performance management. Deputise in the manager’s absence, ensuring operational continuity.

* Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to EYFS, health and safety legislation, and safeguarding policies.

* Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve the quality of care and education, striving for "Outstanding" inspections.

* Partnerships: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, handling enquiries and feedback.

* Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate children’s records, registers, and operational action plans

Requirements:

* Minimum 1 year leadership experience as Third in Charge/ Senior Nursery Educator

Hours of work: Full time, Monday-Friday

Requirements

* Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification

* Level 3 Paediactric First Aid Qualification (desirable)

* English GCSE grade C/4+ (if qualified after Sept 2014)

* Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework

* A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)

Supply Star Little Learners Recruitment is committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults. All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS (£63 if not on the update service) and two satisfactory references.

You must have a clear enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this role. If you do not have one Supply Star Recruitment can support you in obtaining one at a cost of £63.
