Our client is a well-established signage company and they are currently recruiting two experienced Signage Production Operatives. One of these positions is ideally suited to a candidate with supervisory experience, capable of supporting the production team leader and assisting with day-to-day workflow management on the shop floor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, motivated team in a busy production environment, working on a wide variety of creative signage and display projects. The key responsibilities will include:
1. Application of vinyl to a range of substrates with precision and care
2. Cutting, weeding, and taping of vinyl graphics using plotters and associated software
3. Confident use of Kongsberg or Zund cutting tables,
4. Operation of large format UV printers such as Vutek, Durst, or similar
5. Use of laminators for protective lamination and mounting vinyls to substrates
6. Working knowledge of ACM, foamex, and various vinyl grades for indoor/outdoor use
7. Ability to select and work with appropriate materials depending on application requirements
8. Support in assembling and finishing signage projects to the highest standard
9. Potential to use woodwork and/or metalwork skills where required (desirable, not essential)
10. Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
11. Take pride in work with strong attention to detail
12. Prioritise workload and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
For Supervisory Candidate:
13. Assist in overseeing day-to-day production workflow
14. Provide guidance and support to other team members
15. Help ensure quality standards and deadlines are met efficiently
Candidate Requirements:
16. Previous experience in signage production is essential
17. Comfortable with large format print and finishing processes
18. A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
19. Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision
20. Good communication and team-working skills
21. Flexibility to work overtime when required
