Reconciliations Accountant 12-Month FTC £45,000 Manchester We are looking for a Reconciliations Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is suited to a Financial Accountant with strong reconciliations experience and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform reconciliations: Conduct daily and periodic reconciliations of bank statements, control accounts, and the general ledger. Investigate discrepancies: Research and resolve variances, outstanding items, and mismatches across financial data. Maintain records: Ensure accurate, up-to-date financial records in line with company policy and audit standards. Process transactions: Allocate incoming payments, process receipts and refunds, and post accurately to ledger accounts. Generate reports: Prepare reconciliation reports for management, highlighting discrepancies and corrective actions. Liaise with stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams (AP, AR) and external partners to resolve queries. Support month-end close: Ensure all accounts are reconciled and documented for month- and year-end processes. Implement controls: Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process improvements. About You (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE Strong reconciliations and balance sheet accounting expertise. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
